a little adventure…
is all i need sometimes to clear my head. life is insanely busy at the moment with university and a huge project going on, there is hardly time for anything else. every time i have to concentrate though something happens… like a conversation i didn’t expect, which keeps my head occupied. well…focus!
next weekend i want to go out into the woods or some other nice place and just be there. no work just me and my adventure. i hope i can make it.

yesterday i took a day trip to the zoo with my sister and her bf. i haven’t been to the zoo for some time and it was much fun to see all the baby animals and how improved the whole zoo is now. i especially enjoyed the rain forest house, even though it’s way to hot in there :) there was a cave where bats flew around my head and you could almost feel their tiny wings when they passed your face by an inch.

i really like going to the zoo, not only because animals are always fun to look at but also because of the joy you can see in everyone’s faces. there are kids who are overwhelmed by all the tiny and huge animals the only knew from picture books or from school. adults too are so different in the zoo, or at least that’s how i experience it. when was your last visit to a zoo?

if you’re a reader of my humble blog here you might know that i can’t hold still. i can’t just do nothing apparently not even just watch a movie by myself without thinking i could do something while watching… (which failed in the end but that is another story).
yesterday was the second day of my vacation and i had planned to just drink coffee read my books and let my mind rest… well this didn’t go well long. than i had the urge to do something and i did this ampersand lamp i wanted since forever! i had the supplies bought for weeks but there never was enough time left to start on this. so i searched the inter web for some helpful tips (i had a plan in my mind but you never know what other crafters might have experienced) and found something on one of my favourite blogs. what are the odds of that?… anyway, they basically did what i had in mind, only i used bobbypins to hold my cardboard stripes together ;) a girl knows how to help herself! in case the tutorial over there is to long here’s what i did:
print out your letter | put letter on foam core – cut out the letter | cut holes for the fairy-light into your foam core letter | prepare 5cm thick stripes out of bristol-cardboard | glue stripes to the edges – this was so messy – used bobbypins to hold the stripes together | let dry | spray paint all over it | ad the lights and your’re done!
so what do you say?

it’s this time of year again, summer, sun, long evenings outdoors and music… lot’s of music. i’ve never been one of those huge festival girls, i attended some small ones and loved the atmosphere but i never had the time (summerjob…) to visit one of the big ones.
but this summer with all the change going on in my live it’s time to experience this.
i also plan on rocking smaller ones. what about you? are you festival fans? is there one which i should plan on visiting? or any other tips?

I read this the other day on a picture a friend posted on instagram. it was printed on the inside of a coffee mug. It’s a bit drastic i know… but it fits perfectly for someone who loves coffee as much as i do.
