the other day when there were two free minutes of time i sewed this little back bag. i made one of these before, last summer. this one is more colorful but just as easy to sew.just like a tote back you need two same sized pieces of fabric. sew them together, make a tunnel on the open side. now thread a thin rope through the tunnel and use something to close your back bag. finally you just have to add some straps at the backside and off you go. wandering along with your new tiny back bag. :)

sometimes things go wrong
i spent the last four hours sewing a skirt which turns out to only look good in a blurry photo. well… sometimes this happens right? brings me down anyway… time for some sleep.

yesterday was my mums birthday :) yes we celebrate only two days apart, pretty nice huh?we visited the ideenwelt two weeks ago, where we found this super cute elephant fabric. my mum lives for elephants, her whole flat is filled with them. so i made her this little pencil case to store her very important headmaster pens. that’s right my mum is a headmistress, she used to be a primary school teacher… which i’m hopefully going to be in about three years from now. i’m really glad i have her and all her knowledge about teaching and kids. it helps me so much. thank you mum :) love you!

when my friends are celebrating their birthday i always try to do something special for them. i don’t know if they always like it ;) but i just don’t like to buy stuff. some people are just not pleased with self made things, like my sis, but when you’re new to my circles i can always give it a first try. so when birgits birthday came along i new this was a good choice. this is a chalk bag for those of you who don’t climb. i made one for myself some month ago too.
how do you handle birthday presents?
oh and the fabric is from giraffenland, cute huh?

so university started and i find myself in this jungle of things i need to do, files i need to order, forms i have to fill in and people i get to meet. it’s only been two days and it feels good to be there.
along with all the things i need now i thought i needed a new pencil case ;) the only way where i allow myself to think in black and white is in therms of graphic patterns, on fabrics like this one from ikea! just perfect!

after the second craft party we had some left over fabric from the etsykit. i got a piece from the colorblind patterns fabric and turned into this little backpack. it was really easy to sew and i enjoy it a lot! it’s like a tote bag but easier to carry around and looks somehow different! :) what do you think?

i think i’ve never posted an outfit bevore right? well that’s not because i don’t like what i wear… it just never occurred to me also this is not exactly a fashion blog ;). anyways, yesterday i sewed a skirt. that’s nothing special considering the last few years i sewed a lot of skirts for myself… but this year i’ve been really lazy. i don’t know why exactly but somehow i just don’t like my skirts anymore and that’s probably why i stopped making them.
but when i dyed this linen last week i thought it would look nice as a skirt… also i need something to wear at fashioncamp vienna which is happening this weekend! i don’t want to look strange between all those pretty fashion ladies so what do you think? can i wear this, yes or no?
