i should study biology at the moment… there’s another assignment tomorrow :) i convinced myself that working with plastic animals might count as biology as well… plus, my new shirt needed a little friend. so i made this 10 minute diy.
all you need
paint the animal with varnish, let it dry and add black eyes in case you painted them silver as well ;)
use a hot glue gun to glue the animal to a pin
and finished… super quick and easy! i bought a box of these tiny plastic animals at nanunana. they just had to come with me :)
mr. pan is a bit annoyed be me working all the time, he want’s to play!

since spring decided to turn it’s back on us i enjoyed the work i have to do for university. i have to invent different material for school.

this is a spring flower memory. i painted all the flowers and scanned them… is there any elementary school teacher reading this blog who would enjoy this memory as well? maybe i can find a way to make it a downloadable special…
i’m looking forward to the weekend. there will be woods and woods and food and easter and chocolate and family :) what are you up to?

did you take a look at the we love handmade mag #2 already? if you didn’t you don’t know my little clay project. these succulents have a pretty new home at my place… how pan helped me to make those little clay pots and how you could make them yourself you can find out in the magazine on page  53

this is not only a great project for a wedding but for anyone else as well. i really like to work with clay, it’s so easy to make little things and you don’t have to burn in the oven. do you use clay? what else can be made out of it? any ideas?

i decided to try something new here. to connect my new school life with this bloglife i thought it would be nice to share some things i do in school with the kiddos. maybe there are other teachers, teachers to be or people who work with children out there who would like to have some fresh ideas?
i think i might even share some material i have to create for school here.
 would you like that?
on wednesday i my first day in a new class, s. and i are going to start with a spring craft lesson. one of my project will be these tiny wool chickens… aren’t they cute? super easy as well! did you know you could make a pompom with a fork? swirl the wool 60 times around the fork and knot a little pice of wool around the middle, right between the second and the third fork arm. take off the bundle and cut open the ends, roll the tiny ball between your hands and maybe cut off the parts that are to long.

cut out two feet and a peak from orange felt just like shown below, and glue them to the yellow ball.

maybe ad cute eyes?

the other day when there were two free minutes of time i sewed this little back bag. i made one of these before, last summer. this one is more colorful but just as easy to sew.just like a tote back you need two same sized pieces of fabric. sew them together, make a tunnel on the open side. now thread a thin rope through the tunnel and use something to close your back bag. finally you just have to add some straps at the backside and off you go. wandering along with your new tiny back bag. :)

v day lies ahead and guess how’s spending his on the other side of the world… yes the boy. ;) nice move mister. anyways i made these arrows for my friends because this day is also for your dearest friends (don’t forget about that). if you don’t want to give them away, they look very pretty in a vase to.
all you need is some golden spray paint, white acrylic paint, sticks, a pencil sharpener, paper and a pen oh and twice as many feathers as sticks.
here is how you do it:

now if you’d like your arrows to have a pointy tip you can use a pencil-sharpener to get them this way. paint the tips white and let them dry again.

cut off the thinner part of the feathers and be sure to always have a left and a right feather for your arrow. spray paint each side of the feather gold. let them dry properly! glue the feathers to the ends of your arrows. be careful, this is the most tricky part of the quest.

if you get past this you’re nearly done. just cut the paper in stripes and write down your secret valentine massage. bind the paper to the arrow and shoot it over to your loved one. i hope mine can fly to new zealand! :*
