on saturday anna and i held a workshop for boesner. we taught some motivated people how to make mini pinatas for the upcoming gardenparty season :) finde some more pictures and a description on how to make one of those little pinatas yourself in a few days on the we love handmade blog
h.anna aka the boss
waiting for summer to come i spent an evening with my sewing machine.
i’m into maxi and midi skirts at the moment. they work with cropped shirts and blouses and make me feel like i’m in one of those pinterest pictures i tend to pin a lot.
the fabric is from ikea and i didn’t use any pattern.

clouds are my new favorite thing since i saw “cloudy with a chance of meatballs” last year. loved it.
all you need is magnetic paint, a brush, chalkboard paint, clay, magnets and glue. oh and a wooden-board. :)
while the different layers of paint dry you can start with the raindrops. cut them out of the air dry clay, wait till they are hard and glue them to your magnets.
When the last layer of magnetic paint is dry you can ad one more layer of chalkboard paint. :) isn’t it the cutest little cloud?
sometimes i try out ideas which i build in my head… and somehow they don’t look how i wanted them to :)
anyhow this one didn’t go as planed but looks nice as well.
i wanted to make a bowl out of air dry clay and press a fern into the clay. well this did work, but i didn’t think of the fact, that once it was dry i would see the fern on the outside anymore. so if you want to try out this bowl, you might want to place your fern “print” on the inside of your bowl. :)
this is how you do it:
press the fern onto the flattened clay
put something round onto the clay and cut it out
put your clay circle into the bowl and form a nice seam, let it dry for a day
you can smooth the seam with a nail file like i did here
finished, i use it for tiny objects i tend to lose
i just can’t get enough of fern. i think baby fern plants look like the home of tiny fairies, when the roll out the look so magical. even though it’s “just” a green plant i think it might be one of my favourites!
i should study biology at the moment… there’s another assignment tomorrow :) i convinced myself that working with plastic animals might count as biology as well…
plus, my new shirt needed a little friend. so i made this 10 minute diy.
paint the animal with varnish, let it dry and add black eyes in case you painted them silver as well ;)
use a hot glue gun to glue the animal to a pin
and finished… super quick and easy! i bought a box of these tiny plastic animals at nanunana. they just had to come with me :)
mr. pan is a bit annoyed be me working all the time, he want’s to play!
together with the rest of the we love handmade girls i held a workshop for natural egg dyeing today. it was a lot of work but lot’s of fun as well. i hope everyone had fun and is happy with their eggs :) i even baked a cake for the occasion ;)

did you take a look at the we love handmade mag #2 already? if you didn’t you don’t know my little clay project. these succulents have a pretty new home at my place… how pan helped me to make those little clay pots and how you could make them yourself you can find out in the magazine on page 53
this is not only a great project for a wedding but for anyone else as well. i really like to work with clay, it’s so easy to make little things and you don’t have to burn in the oven. do you use clay? what else can be made out of it? any ideas?
